At Recollective, we’re proud to champion diversity and inclusion within the tech industry. As part of this commitment, we launched the Recollective Women in Technology Scholarship to support and empower female students enrolled in a technology program, such as Computer Science, Engineering or IT.
We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2024/2025 scholarship program. This year, we selected two exceptional students: Nidhi Rajeev Naik, from the University of Ottawa and Fatima Khair, from Carleton University, who embody dedication, innovation and passion for making a difference in the world of technology.
These talented young women received the Recollective Women in Technology Scholarship to help them achieve their academic goals and pursue their dreams of a career in tech. To be eligible, applicants had to demonstrate a commitment to their studies, maintain strong academic standing, and identify as female.

Meet Our Winners
Nidhi Rajeev Naik
Current Program: Master’s in Engineering Management at the University of Ottawa
Driven by a curiosity to understand the intricate interplay of code, hardware and innovation, Nidhi has been captivated by technology since she was young. This passion fuels her desire to study technology and contribute to the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Recognizing the gender disparity in the tech sector, Nidhi is determined to inspire more girls to pursue their interests in tech. She believes diversity is critical to innovation and that more women can bring fresh perspectives to complex challenges. Her decision to pursue a career in technology is about paving the way for future generations of girls to feel empowered to enter and excel in the field. She is committed to making a difference through her academic journey and by actively encouraging and supporting other girls to join the technology sector.
Winning the Recollective Women in Technology Scholarship will provide Nidhi with the support to continue her growth in technology management. In five years, she sees herself in a strategic leadership role, driving innovation and empowering future generations of girls to excel in technology together.

Fatima Khair
Current Program: Master of Networking Technology at Carleton University
Fatima's journey into technology was fueled by a commitment to bridge the educational gap she witnessed when visiting rural Bangladesh. Despite the outdated textbooks, overworked teachers and lack of basic classroom facilities, she noticed a desire to learn among the children. Many dreamed of becoming teachers, doctors, and engineers, but these dreams felt out of reach due to limited access to technology.
This experience inspired Fatima to pursue computer science, with a vision to bridge the educational gap using technology. Her goal is to create accessible online learning environments and interactive tools for students in remote areas, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Winning the Recollective Women in Technology Scholarship allows Fatima to further this mission, bringing her closer to creating digital solutions that make education more accessible. In five years, she envisions herself working as a web developer, building user-friendly platforms that extend technology's reach to underserved communities, laying the foundation for better learning opportunities.
