Scope of Role

Recollective is searching for an individual with payroll experience to provide human resources and payroll support services to join our Finance & Administration team. As a part of this growing team, you will be responsible for supporting our Director, Finance & Administration.

Role responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director, Finance & Administration
  • Assist in payroll and HR duties including, but not limited to:
    • Prepare, review and file payroll in Canada, United States and UK
    • File payroll deductions in different US states
    • Prepare and review of payroll documents and human resources
    • Track sick and vacation days on HR platform and update company record
    • Manage onboarding of new hires from a payroll perspective
    • Reconciling payroll to general ledger
    • Organize and ensure confidential payroll records
    • Reconcile and update Human Resources vs payroll records
    • Prepare year-end payroll documents
    • Prepare accruals and reconciling to general ledger

Education, training and experience

  • At least three years of payroll experience required
  • Attention to detail, high focus on quality of work and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain payroll and related information in strict confidence.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to confidently and effectively meet with C-Level and Director level contacts while at the same time ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, fluency in English is essential
